A vintage Navajo silver cuff bracelet with outstanding

stampwork, repoussee and chisel work, circa 1920’s-30’s

This bracelet is like a virtual catalog of fine Navajo silversmithing techniques. The unknown smith who made this piece was a true virtuoso; the work is beautifully conceived and masterfully executed from the repousseed round central panel to the flanking “wings” of stampwork designs and the fine chiseling around the stamped upper and lower borders. The bracelet has a beautiful, soft patina from age and use and it is in excellent original condition with completely age-appropriate wear.

The bracelet is sized for the medium to larger wrist and could be slightly adjusted either up or down, if desired. It is 1 3/4” wide at the widest center point. The inner circumference end-to-end is 5 5/8”, the gap between the terminals is 1 1/8” for a total interior circumference of 6 3/4”. The bracelet weighs a substantial, yet very comfortable 69 grams or 2 1/2 ounces. This is a completely elegant and historic piece which would be very rewarding to own and wear.

Price $1,650
