A historic Navajo silver cuff bracelet with exceptionally

well-executed stamp, file and chisel designs, c.1920’s-30’s

This bracelet is a total knockout! It is like a virtual catalog of accomplished Navajo silversmithing designs

and techniques. The unknown silversmith who crafted this bracelet was a virtuoso artist; the work is beautifully conceived and masterfully executed from its elaborate stampwork designs to the fine chiseling defining its central panels. This is some of the most interesting and beautifully done stamp work that we have ever seen on a historic Navajo bracelet. The bracelet has a beautiful, soft patina from age and use and is in excellent original condition with completely age-appropriate wear.

The bracelet is sized for the medium wrist and could be slightly adjusted either up or down, if desired. It is

1 3/8” wide all the way around. The  inner circumference end-to-end is 5 3/8”, the gap between the terminals is

1 1/4” for a total interior circumference of 6 5/8”. The bracelet weighs a substantial yet very comfortable

56 grams or 2 ounces. This is a thoroughly remarkable and historic piece in every way.
