An extremely rare and informative archaeological reference book from The Peabody Museum at Harvard University, published in 1952. This book describes and pictures in detail the extraordinary kiva murals found at the ancient Hopi villages of Awatovi and Kawaika-a on Antelope Mesa in northern Arizona by the Peabody Museum at Harvard University.

Containing nine color serigraph plates by the famous Santa Fe artist Louie Ewing, this volume is one of the rarest and most highly sought after reference books in the entire literature regarding the ancient southwest. With approximately 350 pages of text and 100 pages of lavishly illustrated appendixes, this book measures 10 3/4" height by 7 3/4" width and is in generally excellent original condition.
