“The Great Southwest, Etchings”

An extremely rare and significant book of the prominent western artist, Carl Oscar Borg’s etchings and poems, 1936. Signed by the Artist.

This fine volume includes 37 Carl Oscar Borg black and white etchings of Navajo and Hopi Indians and their environs accompanied by original poems written by the artist. Finely hardcover bound in tan boards and dark brown cloth, 11 3/4” height, 9 3/4” width, 39 pages, printed on Olde Quille ivory paper under the supervision of Thomas E. Williams at The Fine Arts Press, 1936. The book is signed “Carl Oscar Borg” by the artist in blue pen on the frontispiece.

This book is in excellent original condition, particularly for its 77 years of age. A significant and beautifully presented book by a highly-accomplished, important Southwestern artist.
